You know, I hadn’t heard about filtering POVs until I joined a writing forum. It made a difference, but I still find myself putting in filtering verbs by habit and having to edit them out and I’m not 100% sure I’m actually writing in deep POV all the time.

    Hence, editing.ReplyCancel

Filter verbs. I learned something new today!
    You’re making great progress – keep writing.ReplyCancel

That picture is beautiful. Glad you had a great trip and got research material as well.

Best of luck on your new project. Glad I’m not the only one that let’s the characters take over to tell their story. It’s theirs after all.ReplyCancel

Good for you! Congrats on your book sales. We do have to make of any time we have for writing.ReplyCancel

  • Roland YeomansSeptember 7, 2016 - 1:32 PM

I lie to myself to get myself to sit down and write: “Just one paragraph, Roland. You can write one lousy paragraph no matter how tired you are, can’t you?” It usually turns into at least one page. Do that over a year, and you’ve written a novel!

Great news about your sales. Me? I’m the best kept secret on the internet. But I have great looking covers. Come see a few. RolandReplyCancel

Congratulations on your book launch. Now I must go to amazon germany and see if it is there so I can purchase it.

Your title is interesting. It caught my eye and I love the fact that it is a love story from Portugal.

    All the best.

Congrats to the upcoming release! I hear you on the love/hate relationship. There comes a point where I can’t look at the stories anymore either. But that passes again. Miraculously. The End is such a final statement. Not sure I’d like that either.ReplyCancel

  • Diane BurtonAugust 3, 2016 - 8:57 PM

Congratulations on your new release. Enjoy the moment, then promote the heck out of it! I know what you mean about almost hating a story because you’ve read it so many times. Try it again in a few years. You’ll love it again.ReplyCancel

    Hi,
Congratulations on a job well done. You’ve finished the first round and getting ready for the second milestone which means marketing. I truly understand you not writing The End to your books or your short stories. I am leery of that two, because I ask myself when does a story really end. There are some stories that I want to continue on with but at a later time.
All the best with your upcoming release.
    Shalom aleichem,
    PatriciaReplyCancel

Congratulations on your new book! That’s so exciting!
You should enjoy the moment…after all, lots of hard work goes into publishing a book.
    Good luck with sales!ReplyCancel

This is my third attempt to comment. I commented two days ago and for whatever reason, this site hates me. Regardless…

I never type the end. The story isn’t ended. Just because there aren’t any more words on the page doesn’t mean the character’s lives are magically finished. Oh no.ReplyCancel
