Little by Little: Writing Every Day

InsecureWritersSupportGroup

It’s that time of the month again, first Wednesday, which means, it’s Insecure Writer’s Support Group:

Purpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds!

I missed posting in August. But I have a good excuse. I started the rewrites for my novel on June 30th. I’ve been actively writing every day since then. I’m a slow writer and some days are not as good as others. But little by little, I’m getting there. I told my editor to pencil me for early October, which means I need to be done writing it and do at least one read-through edit before then. I also have two beta readers lined up and I’d like to go through their comments as well.

I started from scratch with brand new words. The main characters are the same, the setting is the same, and the story bones are similar, but the rest is new and, hopefully, much improved. I know it will still need lots of work and the plan is to have it all ready for publication in January of 2016.

And now back to work. These scenes won’t write themselves.
