It’s that time of the month again, first Wednesday, which means, it’s Insecure Writer’s Support Group:

Purpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds!

 

I periodically struggle with self-doubt and lack of inspiration. It’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking I’m not producing anything good.

Luckily for me, I have tremendously talented friends who inspire me with their love for their art, their passion, and their commitment. I approached several of these friends and asked them to write a guest post for this blog. The questions were simple: how did they get started? What inspires them? What obstacles have they overcome? How do they find the courage to keep going?

The replies they sent me were simply amazing. You can view all of these guest posts under the topic “Inspiration”. There are two pages with posts by eight guest bloggers from a variety of arts. I think you’ll agree with me that their words about what they do are truly inspiring.

As for news, I started writing today new words for my revised draft. As per very consistent feedback from judges of three writing contests, the first draft needed a new hook and more conflict between the main characters, and I think I finally found good solutions for those problems.
