1— Where do you get your ideas?
“I find inspiration EVERYWHERE!!!! It’s kind of funny, I can be reading a book and BOOM, a line sticks out, so I mark it. Sometimes a line in a song, often times a post or share from a dear friend on Facebook or something at church will get me thinking. Sometimes it feels like there is so much bad out there in the world that I struggle to see the good. But the reality is that there is so much HOPE and GOODNESS, and sometimes we need to look for the good to see it. Often times for me it’s words that give me hope and inspire me.”

2— What inspires you?
“I kind of answered this in the previous question, but words inspire me. How often are you feeling down and maybe just a simple song touches you or a thought someone shares gives you the answer you have been looking for. Words are so powerful and they give HOPE, I think a world without hope would be sad.”

3— What obstacles have you had to overcome?
“I have been lucky enough that there haven’t been many. When I was doing photography I felt like I was away from my family so much and it was stressful to get everything in line before I would leave for a session. Signs and prints have given me the chance to do something I love but still be present and there for my family. It’s helped me regain the balance in my life that I desperately needed.”

4— How do you find the courage to keep going?
“For me, I need to be creative. I need to feel like I am following that fire to create that is in me. It doesn’t feel like courage. I have learned when I try to be something I am not, I don’t have that peace and balance that I need. I was that girl in high school that had notebooks full of quotes and thoughts that inspired me, so this made sense. Perhaps it is courage to follow your heart, but to me it is more scary not too.”
