It’s Ja-new-ary!

This picture illustrates how I feel during January in Utah- locked under ice crystals. I hate the cold.

If you watch a certain kids’ channel, then you know where I got the idea for the title. It fits the theme, though. It’s a new year, and it’s a new month. And it’s a whole new world full of ideas and new chances. New words everyday.

I have always been fascinated with letters and the written words, and their intrinsic potential. The way you can say the same thing with different words, use them to suit your mood, or the manner by which you can give expression to anything with just the right word. This is the power of language and the importance of books. There is not much you can’t achieve with the help of the right book.

On a different note, for those interested in the progress of my manuscript, I am officially 2/3 of the way done and still plugging along. The goal is for an early Fall publication date, barring any problems.

I will come back and post more updates as they come, maybe even a sneak peek (but that will be much later).
